The New 2023 Lexus RX comes with new Powertrains and a GA-K platform to dominate the market once again.
For more than a decade, the RX has been the Lexus model with the highest sales. The Lexus RX, a veteran market leader in the midsize premium crossover market, is moving away from V-6 engines and shifting more aggressively toward clean energy.
In contrast to the compact, entry-level UX crossover, the RX is not an all-hybrid vehicle from Lexus. Showcasing new models, drivetrains, and technological advancements in addition to a fresh design. The 2023 RX will be available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), a first for the RX moniker, and marks a crucial turning point in Lexus’ electrification efforts.
The 2023 Lexus RX is available in six trim levels, four engines, three hybrid configurations, two all-wheel-drive systems, and a more adaptable platform. They still use the 350 designations for the next generation, even though the 3.5-liter V-6 is no longer available. The present model, competes with other five-passenger luxury SUVs like the Infiniti QX50, and Lincoln Nautilus, in addition to the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and Audi Q7. The standard RX 350 has a 2.4-liter turbo-4 engine with 275 horsepower and 8-speed automatic transmission that can drive the front wheels or all four. A 2.5-liter inline-4 and a motor powered by a battery combine to produce 246 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque in the standard hybrid. The hybrid vehicle seeks to achieve 33 combined MPG.
The most powerful of the possible drivetrain is the top-of-the-line RX 500h model, which also features front and rear electric motors. Its 2.4-liter turbocharged I-4 engine is mated to a fast, shift-by-wire 6-speed automatic transmission. At 2000 to 3000 RPM, they produce an astounding 366 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. This RX is swift, with a manufacturer-specified 0-to-60 mph time of 5.9 seconds, despite its, 4700+ lb curb weight. Yet, the RX 500h still achieves respectable fuel economy ratings of 26 combined MPG.
The RX 450h Plus is the fourth available powertrain. It is a short-range gas-electric plug-in hybrid. A few facts about the RX 450h Plus are known as of this writing, and there is no firm date for when it will be on sale.

The 2023 RX is essentially brand-new and Lexus built it on the GA-K architecture. Which will support a range of automobiles for Lexus and its corporate owner, Toyota. The RX now has a lower center of gravity, improved weight balance, and enhanced stiffness for better handling. It also weighs 198 pounds less than the previous iteration.
Lexus extended the wheelbase of the 2023 model by 2 inches, reportedly to provide extra room for back passengers’ legs. Even though the new RX measures the same length from bumper to bumper as the previous 2022 model. With the seats folded down, the cargo volume has increased from 32.6 cubic feet to 46.2 cubic feet.

The new Lexus Interface dominates the interior of the 2023 RX. A contemporary, responsive touch and voice-activated technology has taken the role of the trackpad media controller. They have abandoned the panel of knobs and buttons in favor of always-visible touch-sensitive controls. Instead, a normal 9.8-inch multimedia touchscreen is being used, with a 14-inch model being an option. They also supported wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on both screens.
Lexus improved its collection of safety features in addition to the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and entertainment system. The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes standard on the 2023 RX from Lexus. The digital key technology is also available in the Lexus RX. The driver assistance and safety feature set in LSS+ 3.0 expands functionality even further. One of its features is traffic jam assist, which operates at low speeds (under 30 MPH) to sustain the flow of traffic on the road. It also has the capacity to detect another automobile drifting into your lane.
The car will be parallel parked for you using the new, improved Advanced Park system. The system finds a position and steers into it, reducing speed and shifting gears. All you have to do is press the button and follow instructions. Prior to the end of 2022, according to the brand, the SUV will go on sale.
