This upcoming Bajaj and Triumph bike, which is expected to compete with Royal Enfield bikes, was recently spotted in UK testing. Royal Enfield could soon compete with Indian two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto. The company has joined hands with British company Triumph Motorcycle to develop a new model that will compete in the 350cc segment in India.

The bike, which is still under development, was recently spotted on trials in the UK. The model name has not yet been confirmed. It is expected to debut in Indian markets this year, possibly ahead of the upcoming holiday season, per HT Auto.

According to reports, Bajaj and Triumph are likely to name the new bike after the Scrambler and Roadster Style. Spy shots have leaked a Roadster motorcycle in action. It has the distinctive styling cues commonly seen on Triumph motorcycles. The manufacturers, according to rumours are working on two models.

Both upcoming bikes are expected to get round headlights with a round fuel tank. The new bikes are expected to be based on a tubular steel frame similar to the new Pulsar 250. Spy shots show the new Bajaj-Triumph bike will come with a USD front fork, rear mono shock, and 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The Roadster model will have a single-seat design, while the Scrambler model will most likely get a split seat.

New motorcycles are likely to get a single-cylinder engine. The spotted model also featured an enlarged heatsink. This suggests that its engine will be a liquid-cooled 4-valve DOHC. In addition, the Scrambler has a twin-pipe exhaust system.

The upcoming Bajaj and Triumph motorcycles will reportedly be built at the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer’s plant in India and exported from there to other countries. Expect the price of a Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle to be around ₹2 lakh.

Once launched, the new Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle will compete with Royal Enfield, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Yezdi and KTM among other players in the 300cc segment.
